  • How can I find out when picture day is?

    All dates are posted on the school calander and social media. Email reminders are also sent out. If you did not receive an email, please check your spam folder or check with the school to make sure you are on their list.

  • Where do I order?

    Click here to locate your event and begin your order. We do not distribute paper order forms.


  • What is Prepay?

    ROC THE PHOTO uses a prepay ordering system.  Our prepay ordering system has the best value and largest selection of products. In most cases we do not offer proofs before ordering.  You do not need an access code to order (access codes are only required for Second Sale events). Your satisfation is guaranteed. If you are not pleased we will refund your order.

  • How long is prepay open to place an order?

    You have until 11:00pm on picture day to order. Special print rates are only valid on prepay.  A “Second Sale” opportunity to order is available after picture day at increased prices.

  • How can I correct my prepay order?

    If you entered incorrect information in your order please email us the correct information as soon as possible and we would be happy to assist you. 


    Please note, Second Sale orders are shipped directly from our lab and therefore we are not able to cancel, refund, or change any part of the order.  

  • What is Second Sale?

    • ROC THE PHOTO uses a prepay ordering system.  If you did not get a chance to order before picture day you can still order in our Second Sale system.  
    • An access code is require to login and view your image. 
    • Images are live for 3 months, after the first round of picutres have been delivered (about 20-25 business days). 
    • Most school portrait events use your child's school ID as the passcode. Contact the school if you are unsure of that number.  
    • The options and products are limited in Second Sale and there is a price increase. There are no packges offered in Second Sale.
    • Please note, Second Sale orders are shipped directly from our lab and therefore we are not able to cancel or refund.  
    • Please wait 8-10 days after shipping to receive your order.
  • What is my Second Sale access code?

    You will need an individualized access code to view your child's image(s).  For school portraits your passcode is your child's school ID # (or lunch number).  Please contact the school if you need that number.  For your child's safety, we do not publish images in a mass gallery or give out student ID information.  

  • How do I get a retake/makeup picture?

    For school protraits, there will be 1 makeup day scheduled (usually 2-3 weeks after picture day).  If you are not pleased with your order please call or email us for additional details on makeup/retake day.


    In most cases you will be asked to return your package order either to the school or directly to ROC THE PHOTO.  Once the new image has been taken, the package order has been returned, and any fees have been paid, we can proceed with your replacement order.


    Although ROC THE PHOTO takes the utmost care, we cannot be responsible for circumstances beyond the photographer's control such as:

    • clothing choices 

    • stains

    • hairstyle 

    • make-up

    • props

    • background choice

    We will re-photograph free of charge only if your portraits are technically flawed.  Otherwise we require a $10 makeup fee be paid in order to proceed.  Payment can be placed online under the School Photo Retake Fee event.  Please submit within five business days of makeup/retake day otherwise there will be a delay in receiving the new order and you may incur additional shipping fees.


  • Can I see the photo before I order?

    We do not offer a proofing system, but your satisfaction is guaranteed on our photos.  If you are not satisfied you can return them for your money back. A “Second Sale” opportunity to order is available after picture day where viewing is available. However, special print rates and products are only valid on prepay. Access codes are required for Second Sale ordering and the event is up for 3 months.

  • Do you take cash or check?

    Since all ordering is online, we only accept credit cards in our secure system. No payment will be taken on location. Please contact us if special arrangements need to be made.

  • Can I just order an 8x10 (etc.)?

    Yes, add the last “package” to your cart for $0.00 and you will be redirected to our “add on” menu.

  • Can I order retouching/glass glare removal?

    Yes, retouching is available for purchase in the add-on items (this includes glass glare removal).

  • I have multiple children; can I just place one order?

    Yes, if the children attend the same school, you can place one order for multiple children in our online ordering system. Just add the first child's name and click "add" to add an additional child.

  • Digital Download Questions

    • You will receive an email within 20-25 business days with the link to download your image.
    • You have 30 days to download your file. 
    • No refunds are given after you have downloaded your image.
    • Digital Download files are of just an individual portrait.  
    • You will receive a release letter so you may print and post to social media. 
    • You may select any background for your image to download.
  • Can I add something to my existing order?

    We do not have access to add to your order.  However, if prepay is still open you are more than welcome to create another order.

  • Can I have my order shipped home?

    Yes, one of our last add-on items is a ship to home option. Please expect your order in 25-30 business days after picture day.

  • Do I need to print out my order confirmation or order number?

    No need, we will match your child’s name with your order. Please keep a copy of your confirmation for your reference.

  • How will my credit card be charged?

    • The charge will show up as HHIH-ROC THE PHOTO.  
    • You might see multiple charges on your card for the same amount as a hold until it clears. Please allow 2-6 days for it to resolve.
    • If your credit card is declined please make sure the billing zip code matches what you have entered.
  • Where is my order?

    Your order should arrive within 20-25 business days.

    1. Please be sure you received an order confirmation in your email.
    2. Check with the child's teacher to make sure the orders were passed out.
    3. Late orders are delivered after makeup day.  If you ordered a week after picture day they be delievered after makeup day.  You can view your child's image using their student ID and the Second Sale link

  • How do I get updates on my order?

    Make sure you checked "send follow up emails on this event" when logging in to order. We promise not to fill your inbox with emails! We like to update you on when your order is on its way, a preview of your image, and last chance opportunities to order. 

  • Where will my picture be delivered?

    To the school, unless you have purchased direct ship to home.  You will receive your order in 20-25 days.

  • Where is the class composite I ordered?

    Class composites are designed after makeup day to insure all students are included.  Please be patient as these have to be designed, proofed and printed.  They are usually delivered after the new year. If you forgot to place an order click here to navigate to our class composite ordering page.

  • Why didn't you adjust my child's hair, clothing, etc.?

    ROC THE PHOTO has a "no touch" policy.  We do our best to help your child adjust themselves by providing mirrors and directing them. Please let their teacher know if they need additional help or if you have special requests on picture day.

  • How can I order an image from a previous year?

    Please email us with the following information:

    • Event Name
    • Child' Name
    • Year image was taken
    • Grade of the year you are requesting
    • Teacher of the year you are requesting
    • Products with quantity and background choice

    An estimate will be sent to you for your approval.  There will be a $25/image retrieval fee to locate the image in our archives.
